How can I get started with certification?

What are the benefits of a certificate?

The majority of the market now demands proof that a product has been produced safely and sustainably. A certificate allows you to demonstrate this. It also demonstrates that your product complies with certain national and international laws and standards.

How can I get certified?

If you want to get certified with MPS, start by requesting a quote. You can do this via this request form. You will then receive an email when your quote is ready. Once you have signed this quote, the certification process will begin.

Depending on the certificate, you will need to register to comply with the scheme's regulations.

For MPS-ABC, you must first have registered 13 periods (six of which can be in the past) before an audit can take place. For MPS-Compact, you must have registered 6 periods.

With MPS-GAP and MPS-SQ, we will audit your crop during the next harvest or processing period, if possible, depending on your schedule.

If you are ready for the audit, you must conduct an internal audit yourself.

After this, the audit can take place, and an auditor will visit your company. Any deficiencies found by the auditor must be resolved within a certain period.

After the audit and the resolution of the deficiencies, we conduct an internal review to determine whether the audit process went smoothly. If everything is approved, you will receive your certificate.

What are the costs of a certificate?

The cost depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, company size, number of locations, and whether cultivation is indoors or outdoors. Therefore, it's impossible to provide a direct estimate of the cost of certification. We can, however, provide a quote, which you can request via the quote request form.
