📋 Completing the location questionnaire

In this article, you will learn how to complete the location questionnaire. This questionnaire forms the basis for certification, reporting, and calculations within MPS.

The questionnaire is divided into several sections (tabs), such as:

  • Surface area

  • Energy

  • MIND

  • OEX

  • Waste


🔎 Step 1: Go to the questionnaire

Navigate to:

Company → Location → Location questionnaire

Then select the correct location (for example Greenhouse 1).


✏️ Step 2: Open and edit a question

Within each section, you will see an overview of questions along with their current values.

  • Click the + icon to answer or edit a question

  • A screen called “Add answer” will open

In this screen, you define:

  • Active from period → from when the answer is valid

  • Answer → selection field or input field

Then click:

  • Save and back → return to overview

  • Save and next → go directly to the next question


🧩 Section: Surface area

Here you enter basic information about the location.

Examples:

  • Total surface area of the location

  • Covered cultivation area

  • Whether cultivation takes place year-round

  • Whether parts are rented out to third parties

  • Whether there are periods without registration

💡 This information is essential for:

  • Calculations (e.g. per m²)

  • The cultivation plan


⚡ Section: Energy

Here you specify how energy is used and generated.

Examples:

  • Use of energy → Yes/No

  • Presence of solar panels → Yes/No

  • Wind energy → Yes/No

  • CHP installation (combined heat and power) → Yes/No

  • Energy usage for office/living space → Yes/No

👉 Based on these answers, follow-up questions and calculations are determined.


🌱 Section: MIND

This section contains questions about environmental and sustainability aspects of the location.

Examples:

  • Distance to surface water

  • Percentage of covered cultivation

  • Terrain slope

  • Water recirculation

⚠️ Note:

  • Some questions use categories (e.g. < 250 meters, 250–2500 meters)

  • Always select the option that best matches reality


🌿 Section: OEX

This section focuses on the technical setup of cultivation (especially greenhouse operations).

Examples:

  • Use of lighting

  • Use of screens

  • CO₂ dosing

  • Percentage of covered area

  • Type of greenhouse (closed/open)

Additional details include:

  • Diffuse glass, foil, or screens

  • Use of chalking agents

  • Water recirculation

👉 Often applies:
If you select “Yes”, additional fields must be completed (such as percentages).


♻️ Section: Waste

Here you indicate how waste streams are processed.

Examples:

  • Processing of organic waste

  • Paper processing

  • Plastic/waste processing

✅ Purpose:

  • Insight into sustainable waste handling

  • Support for certification


✅ Step 3: Check completeness

Make sure that:

  • All questions are completed

  • Answers reflect the real situation

  • Periods are set correctly

💡 Incomplete or incorrect data may affect:

  • Scores

  • Reports

  • Certification


🔄 Making changes

Has something changed at your location?

➡️ Update the answer via the + icon
➡️ Select a new effective period

This ensures your history is preserved and your registration remains accurate.


⚠️ Important

  • Answers can be period-dependent

  • Previous answers remain visible in the history

  • Changes affect other modules (such as cultivation plan and usage)

  • Setting up the cultivation plan

  • Registering usage

  • Viewing reports
